		<description><![CDATA[Thank you for that great memory, Sara. I agree with you -- we were very lucky to have spent so many days learning and absorbing Bud&#039;s design wisdom! When the earthquake hit - my birthday, Feb 28th as I recall - I was up on a ladder pruning a wisteria in Van Bobbitt&#039;s pruning class! I thought someone down below was messing around with me, shaking the ladder. You can bet I got down to the ground very quickly as soon as I realized what was going on! D.]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[I also loved Fridays with bud.  I have the same picture of Bud sitting at his drafting table at the front of my portfolio.  He is there, always reminding me that less is more and asking where are your directional arrows?  

One funny memory.  We were in the design room all gathered around a table, looking at each others projects and the Nisqually earthquake hit.  Some students ran outside, others dove under the tables and Bud just stood there.  Cool as a cucumber.  He then wanted to get on with it and get back to teaching and sharing.  Quite an amazing individual and excellent teacher.  I am so lucky to have had him in my life.]]></description>
