About the Author
Debra Prinzing is a Los Angeles-based garden and design features writer and outdoor living expert.
Debra has a background in textiles, journalism, landscape design and horticulture. She lectures on design topics to botanical garden, horticultural society and flower show audiences, and is a regular radio and television guest. She started a design blog, Shed Style: Architecture, Interiors, and Ornamentation in the Garden, in March 2007 as a companion to her new book about garden sheds and their environs.
Debra is the author of five books, including Stylish Sheds and Elegant Hideaways (Clarkson-Potter/Random House, 2008), The Abundant Garden (2005), and Pacific Northwest Garden Survival Guide (2004). Her feature stories appear in the Los Angeles Times’ Home section and top shelter and consumer publications, including Garden Design, Fine Gardening, Cottages & Bungalows, Metropolitan Home, Landscape Architecture, Sunset, Better Homes & Gardens, Alaska Airlines Magazine, Seattle Homes & Lifestyles and Romantic Homes, among others. She is the former “NW Style” columnist for the Seattle Post-Intelligencer.
