Local Flowers + Slow Bouquets
Saturday, May 4th
Allovus Studios, 8811 N. Harborview Dr., Gig Harbor, WA 98332
Expand the way you view your own backyard, the flowers sold by vendors at your local farmer’s market and even the “weeds” in our area’s wilder places.
Each attendee will express their personal style and learn to employ eco-techniques to avoid chemically-laden products like Oasis. You’ll create a lavish (and healthy) arrangement, using natural or easy-to-recycle materials like twigs, excelsior and chicken wire, Debra will also demonstrate the best ways to harvest, process, and prolong the vase life of the ingredients.
- Please bring your own vase, approximately 8-inches tall by 5-6 inches wide as a vertical vase, or a comparable horizontal vase.
- Please bring your own gardening gloves, clippers, floral snips, and aprons.
- Bring a box or buckets to make it is easy to transport your finished arrangement home.
All your floral material will be provided. Light snacks and beverages will be served.
PLEASE NOTE: The workshop is located in the lower studios that are accessed through a set of stairs.
